The UK’s new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) mutant virus, which is known to be more contagious, is rapidly spreading to many parts of the world, including Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America.
The New York Times (NYT) said on the 2nd (local time) that 15 people arriving from the UK from Turkey were confirmed to be infected with a mutant virus. Therefore, all countries with a UK mutant virus known as’ B.1.1. It is reported to have increased to other countries.
Previously, the UK announced on 14 last month that it had reported the discovery of the mutant virus COVID-19 to the World Health Organization (WHO).
According to the NYT, the US, UK, Turkey, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany and Iceland have been officially confirmed to have mutated viruses originating from the UK.
Additionally, mutant viruses have also been found in India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Lebanon, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Pakistan, Portugal, Singapore, Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Taiwan.

Health officials believe that the majority of people infected with the mutant virus in the United States have no travel history and may have already spread considerably within the community.

Some countries have imposed restrictions on entry from the UK, as well as from other countries where the mutant virus has been found.
In the case of the Philippines, foreigners from the United Kingdom and the United States, where the corona 19 mutant virus infection occurred, were prohibited from entering the country.
The mutant virus does not cause severe symptoms, but it is known to have stronger transmitting power than the existing Corona 19 virus.
A similar variant of the virus has been found in South Africa.
