A German government source told AFP that the restrictions could be adopted in all 27 EU member states and that member states are discussing a joint media response to link sea, land and rail with the UK.

There is also a debate on the response at EU level.
French President Macron discussed the matter with German Chancellor Merkel, the head of the EU administration, Pon der Reien, and the permanent chairman of the EU summit, Michele, the French presidential office, the Elysee Palace said.
In the second half of this year, an emergency meeting of the EU member states was convened on the 21st of local time to discuss the issue of the Corona 19 variant. The dpa news agency said that the coordination on Corona 19 it was on the agenda.
Previously, the British government imposed an emergency lockdown after the rapid spread of the coronavirus strain in south-east England, including London, the day before.
