Quarantine authorities are quarantining the hospital, tracing the route of infection and confirming additional cases.
The average daily number of confirmed cases in Korea during the last week was 832.6.
At 0:00 yesterday, the number of new confirmed cases was 1.78, the highest in history.
The government has said the three-stage upgrade cannot be ruled out.
[정세균/국무총리]“We are doing our best to properly implement the current distancing phase. However, depending on the situation, we cannot rule out the decision to upgrade to the last resort, phase 3.”
The government explained that although the three-step bottom-up review has already started internally, it is preparing step by step as it is a huge social fluctuation that paralyzes daily life in general.
