Park Neung-hoo, Rapid Antigen Test at Seoul Station … ‘Voice’ after 30 minutes

[아시아경제 조현의 기자] Health and Welfare Minister Park Neung-hoo received a new ‘rapid antigen test’ in a temporary screening test for novel coronavirus (Corona 19) infection installed at the Seoul station on the 16th.

According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Minister Park’s test came back negative 30 minutes after the test.

The government has been operating temporary screening tests at 150 locations in the metropolitan area since the 14th to respond to the spread of the third corona pandemic19. Minister Park visited the testing center on this day to promote new testing methods, including rapid antigen testing, and to encourage active testing by the public.

In addition to the conventional gene amplification test (PCR), temporary screening laboratories can receive a saliva PCR test and a rapid antigen test that allows you to quickly determine the test results. Minister Park said: “We hope that the inspection methods will be diversified and the accessibility of the inspection centers will increase, so that more citizens can easily undergo testing.”

He promised to provide additional support to the shortage of medical personnel and that the difficulties in the field could be improved as soon as possible. After making such a statement, Minister Park said: “I would like to express my gratitude to the medical personnel and first responders who are working at the forefront of quarantine even in freezing temperatures.”
