Killing a police officer with the blade of a cockfighting raster while breaking a match

A police officer in the Philippines shot a pet rooster during a raid on a cockfight, an official said Tuesday.

According to a BBC News report, the cook’s gaff had a sharp blade fixed to his leg to fight, which cut off someone from the officer’s femoral artery on his thigh.

The officer, identified as Lieutenant Christine Bolock, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Cockfighting is a popular sport in the Philippines, but it has been temporarily outlawed in an attempt to contain the coronavirus.
