Killer whales attack boats near Spain and Portugal

Killer whales damage the Spanish and Portuguese coasts by disposing of boats that frighten maritime experts about a sudden aggressive encounter.

Orcas is very agile and is known to follow boats closely, but the vessels have reported that it is unusual for them to attack the vessels frequently.

In the last two months, several boats have been damaged by the Orca encounter and at least one sailor has been injured on impact.

In the latest incident on Friday, the Spain 36-foot boat was on the northern coast of Spain near the Corua when Orca penetrated its stern about 1 time, the outlet said.

A similar incident was reported on August 30 when a ship radioed to tell a killerguard that he was “under attack” from a killer whale.

That same day, a Spanish naval yacht, the Mirfak, lost part of its strike in a killer whale encounter.

Then, on July 29, a boat with nine orcs surrounded Cape Trafalgar in southwestern Spain.

Orcas pushed the hull for more than an hour – spinning the boat 180 degrees, deactivating the engine and destroying the helm, the outlet said.

Scientists have described his latest behavior as “extremely unusual” and “relevant.”

Dr. Ruth Esteban has been researching cercas on Gibraltar for many years and believes that the same orcas group is responsible for the phenomena, saying that it is unusual behavior for the species.

Meanwhile, Spanish maritime officials warned carriers to “keep a distance” from any orcas, the report said.
