An ear loan. Kevin Hart met with Ellen DeGeneres for lunch after defending the talk show host amid her accusations of toxic workplaces earlier this month.
De Meiride star, 41, joined DeGeneres, 62, on the patio at the Rosewood Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica, California, on Saturday, August 15th. The pair were both dressed in tropical print button-down shirts and khaki shorts while chatting while sipping wine. .
Hart recently supported the Ellen DeGeneres Show host to her show opposite back for the treatment of his staff and guests.
‘It’s crazy to see my friend go through what she’s going through in public,’ the Night school star wrote on August 4 via Instagram. “I’ve known Ellen for years and I can honestly say she’s one of the dumbest people on the f-king planet.”
He added that the Games by Ellen host has “treated my family and my team with love and respect” throughout her entire relationship.
“The Internet has become a crazy world of negativity … we have fallen in love with peoples,” Hart continued. ‘It’s honestly sad … When did we get here? I stand by those I know and whom I love. I look forward to the future where we will return to love each other. ”
The Pennsylvania resident added that his support “is not meant to ignore the feelings of others and their experiences,” but he wanted to talk about his personal experience working with the Daytime Emmy winner.

DeGeneres also publicly sided with Hart in 2019 when he faced his own work scandal. De Above star came under fire after past homophobic tweets reappeared as he prepared to host the Oscars that year. Hart stepped down from the role, but DeGeneres welcomed him to her show and urged him to reconsider hosting.
De Dory fine star found herself at noon her own scandal in July after former employees in a BuzzFeed News article claimed they were dealing with racism, fear and intimidation while on set. WarnerMedia later launched an internal investigation into the show. BuzzFeed News also published a second report detailing allegations of sexual abuse committed by the show’s executive producers – claims they have since denied.
Last month, DeGeneres addressed the controversy in a letter to her staff, declaring that she was “disappointed to learn” about the stories of her employees.
“As someone who was judged and lost almost everything for just being who I am, I truly understand and have deep compassion for those who are viewed differently, or treated unfairly, not equal, or – worse – ignored,” she wrote in the letter received by Us weekly on July 30 “To think that one of you felt that way is terrible for me.”
