Today, on what would have been Kobe Bryant’s 42nd birthday, Nike has released an ad told by Kendrick Lamar. “Kobe taught us to be better,” Kendrick says in the short clip (titled “Better: Mamba Forever”). Check it out below.
Kobe Bryant died Jan. 26 in a helicopter crash. Bryant’s 13-year-old daughter Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant also died in the accident. An outcry from tributes from the music world followed the news of her death. Tomorrow (August 24) the Los Angeles Lakers will honor Bryant by wearing special jerseys that remind the late players two numbers, 8 and 24. Snoop Dogg shared his own saying honors via ESPN earlier today.
