Katy Perry brings high-energy medley with ‘Sonrisa’ and ‘Margaritas’ to the virtual stage of Tomorrowland

Katy Perry graces the huge virtual stage of Tomorrowland with a great show inspired by the top before the release of her next album, Smile.

The pregnant pop star, with bold orange hair and a sparkly polka dot dress, sparked her set on social media on Saturday afternoon (July 25).

“Orange, you’re glad TODAY!” she joked in the legend of some snapshots showing off her Tomorrowland costume. “I hope you enjoy my (great) first-rate performance at @Tomorrowland Around the World.”

Perry appeared following Afrojack at the live dance festival, featuring a lineup that includes Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki, David Guetta and more this weekend.

Backed by an elaborate virtual ensemble, he made a feel-good mix that started with “Smile” from a clown-faced hot air balloon.

“Hi Tomorrowland! I’m Katy Perry and I hope you can smile with me tonight,” she called out to the crowd at her home.

The performance continued with snippets of hits like “Teenage Dream”, “California Gurls”, “Dark Horse” and “Roar”, all on the Fantasyland virtual stage with their band covered in top hats as mad hatter.

Perry brought to life his remix “Margaritas (Pride Cannot Be Canceled)” accompanied by a giant virtual daisy that danced and smiled. The mix works on pieces from Perry’s later catalog, including “I Kissed a Girl” and “I’m Walking on Air.”

He wrapped things up with “fireworks” as circus-ready balloons hung in midair above the virtual crowd, and virtual fireworks filled the sky
