Kanye West’s presidential campaign has not ended after his presentation to the Federal Election Commission.
Despite previous reports that he dropped out of the race, the rapper has made his official first move to the White House.
On Wednesday, West submitted the first paperwork required by the FEC, Form 1, Statement of Organization, stating that the Kanye 2020 committee will serve as the “Main Campaign Committee” with West as its candidate.
The party appears as BDY, which means the birthday party according to TMZ.
This comes after reports today (July 15) claimed that West pulled out of the United States presidential race, less than two weeks after announcing that he would run.
A member of the West campaign team, Steve Kramer, reportedly told New York Magazine‘s Intelligent out of place that the rapper will no longer contest the elections.
“He’s out,” said Kramer. Intelligent.
Kramer did not specify West’s reasons for the alleged withdrawal, but said he “would leave[[[[Intelligent] I know what I know once I cancel all our stuff. “
Kanye West announced his intention to run for US President on July 4.
“Now we must deliver on America’s promise by trusting God, unifying our vision, and building our future,” West wrote on Twitter.
“I am running for President of the United States!”

Initially, West garnered the support of social media users, including Elon Musk. The rapper later claimed that Musk would be named “head of our space program” under his presidency.
However, Kanye West’s presidential campaign hit a snag almost immediately, when it was revealed that he had already missed the voter registration deadline in six separate states. Despite this, West continued to campaign for the highest position, saying Forbes that “if I win in 2020, then it was God’s appointment.”
The rapper’s presidential offer also caught the reaction of a handful of his musical contemporaries. Katy Perry called West’s decision to run “a bit wild,” while Will.i.am said the presidency is “something dangerous to play with.” Elon Musk also reneged on his support for West after the rapper’s interview with Forbes.
Yesterday (July 14), a United States presidential poll revealed that Kanye West had the support of only 2% of voters.
Outside of his presidential aspirations, West released a new single, titled ‘Donda,’ earlier this week (July 13). The song is a tribute to West’s late mother, who passed away in 2007.
