K-Pop Pop Solo Artist Record for 24-Hour Debut on Blackpink’s Rose Spotify



Rose of Blackpink made an impressive number of streams on Spotify with her solo debut album “R”!

On March 12 at 2pm KST (Midnight EST), Rose released her first solo single album “R.” Left. The very next day, YG Entertainment shared that Rose’s title track “On the Ground” was ranked 8th on Spotify’s Daily Global Top 50 chart for March 12 (local time) in the first 24 hours after its release. The B-side track “Gone,” on the album, reached No. 11 with 2,945,783 streams. “The Not Ground” is now the highest trends received in 24 hours by a song officially released by a Korean solo artist on Spotify.

Meanwhile, “On the Ground” also reached number 1 on the iTunes Top Songs chart in at least 51 regions, and the music video for the song garnered more than 39 million views just 24 hours after its premiere.

Rose’s only debut will be on March 14 at KST on “Inkigayo”. Rose will also be performing on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on “The Ground” on March 16 (local time).
