BTS ‘Dynamite’ has broken numerous records

BTS is hard to ignore. This group was at one time just another act, but these days, it’s a worldwide phenomenon. In a society where non-English songs and artists sung in foreign languages are often overlooked, BTS constantly attracts attention and achieves what seems like an impossible feat.

After BTS released a single album and music video for “Dynamite”, the group broke records everywhere. In the first 24 hours alone, BTS managed to collect more than 100 million views on YouTube, breaking Blackpink’s previous record of 86.3 million views.

On Spotify, BTS managed to get itself the biggest entry of 2020 with over 7,770,000 trends. Meanwhile, on iTunes, BTS’s “Dynamite” achieved 100 No. 1 in 8 hours, making him the fastest artist to achieve this feat.

“Dynamite” received a lot of attention, it is not surprising that fans are curious about what BTS has to say about the song and its music video.

Ahead of his performance at the MTV Video Music Awards, BTSA conducted an interview with MTV News. Here, the group shares some memorable moments for them while shooting.

For Jin, it was the part where the angle of the camera messed with his head. “They did something at my camera angle that made my head as big as my body.”

Meanwhile, Jay-Hope shared that he enjoyed trying to do a freestyle dance in a music video. Jimin agrees, saying it’s fun to create his own “chorios and gestures.”

V, on the other hand, refers to his favorite moment as he was playing basketball on set. “We played basketball while filming the music video, and it was flowing, but it was fun,” he notes.

While some members have fond memories of the shoot, Jungkuk’s memorable moment was rather boring. In an interview with MTV News, he recalls re-shooting a particular scene.

He says, “There is a part where I sing and dance alone in the room. “I couldn’t focus it from the beginning, so I had to shoot it again later.”

Looks like the scene Jungkuk is referring to is his long solo shot at the beginning of the music video. The part flows so seamlessly with everything else that it’s hard to believe that Jungkuk took a while for things to get right. However, it seems that BTS is proud of the work and so are their fans.
