John Lennon’s last days were joyful as he blossomed into music, the book says: ‘You can feel this positive spirit’

Exclusive: John Leno finally achieved a life of personal and creative joy, having previously been shot outside his Manhattan apartment apartment.

Singer has been 40 years old since the singer and songwriter was assassinated on December 0, 1980. Since numerous books have been published about Lennon’s tragic death, Kenneth Womack is determined to keep a close eye on his final days. Of his life.

The author’s new book, “John Lennon 1980,” examines how Lenn found himself as an artist and was enjoying a family life with his wife, Yoko Ono, and their son, Ceno Lennon.

After releasing “Double Fantasy” in November of that year, he was on the road preparing to make more music. Woma told Mac Fox News that he arrived in 1980 to paint a portrait of the brilliant life he collaborated with Lennon, which was tragically obscure.

“I’ve done a lot of work this way,” says PHK photographer Bob Grun John Lennon, VC.

Womek explains, “I loved learning about how creative John feels at this stage of his life. “When you study its contents you can almost feel this change in it. And that change went into other parts of his life, such as his life with Yoko and his son.

“You can feel this positive feeling during this year,” Womek continued. “It simply came to our notice then. Even in the last days of his life, John was very excited about what he was doing and how fully he was involved in his music. He was thrilled to help Yoko with his own music and he was proud to be a good husband for her. She wanted to be a great cheerleader for him because it was for her. He was also Sean’s one-point father, an experience he enjoyed very much. “

Woma Mac shared that, previously, Lennon had faced insecurity in taking action on his own. Italy.com notes that the Beatles took Britain by storm in 1963, before Beatlemania broke out in the United States in 1966. The group sold millions of records before breaking the 1970s.

According to the outlet, Leno stopped music in 1975 to focus on No, now 87, as well as his home life with his son. It wasn’t until 1980 when Lane returned with a popular album, “Double Fantasy,” paying homage to his love for the Japanese artist.

Lennon and Ono married in 1969. That union lasted until his death.

“John also has a song called ‘I’m Stepping Out,'” said Woma Mac. “If we study his music, we can really see him coming out, using his words. The music industry changed after his so-called retirement. You have punk and disco. John knew he really wanted to get it on his own terms. So you really see this meditation, this decision of John, ‘Hey world, this is me.’

Along with New York City – the British artist was also experiencing a different kind of love.

“He loved New York,” Womek said. “He wanted to be in this place which was the starting and the end point of so many journeys. It feels like a kind of anonymity to be attracted to where he can be around people and have private experiences in the city. Made it very appealing.

“Someone would occasionally ask for an aut tograph or say hello,” Woma Mac continued. “But at the same time, he could be in a restaurant or wandering in Central Park and not paying attention. He liked the energy vacuum provided by New York City, but also the kind of privacy that he could not find anywhere else. “

Womek said many fans still believe that Lennon and former bandmate Paul McCartney were not on the speaking terms after the Beatles broke up. However, he said it is far from the truth.

“They were in a certain place where they were not afraid to pick up the phone and call each other,” he explained. “And they will do so on some occasions. They really seem to have reached a great place in their relationship. John would follow Paul’s music and appreciate the fact that his ex-partner was taking a chance and doing something different and interesting. We have also seen John frequently refer to Paul in a very positive light. At one point, he would say, ‘My dear.’

“Even on the last afternoon of his life, when talking to his voice crew, John was asked about Paul. He said, ‘I will do anything for her. And I believe it will do nothing for me. We take care of each other deeply. “Their friendship was extraordinary and it shows.”

Just hours after the singer released his album, Mark David Chapman, who killed Lennon, was denied parole for the 11th time in August this year. The 65-year-old has been serving a 20-year life sentence in the Wendy Correctional Facility east of Buffalo.

Chapman has previously said he feels “increasingly ashamed” of the crime each year.

“I was too far away,” Chapman told the Parole Board in 2018. I remember saying, ‘Hey, now you’ve got the album. Look at this, he signed, just go home. ‘But there was no way I was going home. “

Chapman’s next parole hearing is set for August 2022.

Woma McCain said he intentionally removed Chapman’s name from his book because his goal was to focus on Lennon’s life – not the way he died.

Womamkk hopes that his book will shed light on Lennon’s positive outlook on short-lived life.

“It’s an inspiring story of what it’s like to come back, fight your monsters and move your passion forward,” he said. “I hope readers experience the same kind of momentum as John does, as he’s working on his music and at the top of his game. It was an exciting journey for me. I know it was exciting for John and I hope readers can experience it too. “
