John Legend, Chrissy Teigen lists Beverly Hills home for $ 24M

John Legend wants you to buy all his house.

The musician and his wife, former model Chrissy Teigen, rented her Beverly Hills home for $ 23.95 million after finding out she was baby no. 3 expect.

The Wall Street Journal first reported the mention.

The couple, who already have 4-year-old daughter Luna and 2-year-old son Miles, bought the 8,500-square-foot property for $ 14.1 million in 2016. (The famous former occupant? No less than the singer Rihanna.) And they had plans to stay there indefinitely – until they found out Teigen was pregnant, an announcement the couple made via Legend’s new ‘Wild’ music video on August 13th.

Although the palatial path has seven bedrooms, it is simply not enough for the family of five plus Teigen’s mother, Vilailuck, who lives with her.

The pregnancy probably also came as a shock to her, seeing Teigen, 34, reveal in 2018 that she and Legend have only one embryo left from IVF treatments, and that it became one Miles. Even until recently, the dynamic duo still completed renovations to the family home, with Legend telling The Journal that they simply forgot the master cabinets (both massive).

They enlisted longtime interior designer Don Stewart to reimagine the contemporary home. “We love modernity with still some advantage and some warmth and some cosiness,” said Legend, 41, about changing the bright white elements and glass finish they inherited at the time of purchase.

To do so, Stewart proposed suggested teak wood detailing and a wood-carved ceiling. “It was something we would not even think of, but Chrissy’s mother is from Southeast Asia, so we are trying to find ways to work her heritage into our homes,” Legend said.

Other updates included a complete overhaul of the kitchen and the addition of professional-quality appliances for Teigen, a published cookbook author and home appliance designer. “We want the kitchen to be a part of life, so it will not be separated from the rest of the house,” Legend said. The result was a kitchen with three ovens and two stoves along with an indoor and outdoor grill.

The couple’s relaxed style can be found throughout the house, with vintage pieces seamlessly blended with modern furniture and accented with brass and bronze finishes. Oversized plush seating is in almost every room, making it perfect for household living.

The dramatic entrance, high ceilings and enormous open terrace make it ideal for entertainment. Legend’s grand piano proudly takes place in the center of the oversized living room. The property also has a movie theater and a gym.

While the Legend-Teigen family in this Beverly Hills home, just above the famous Sunset Boulevard of Los Angeles, hollowed out in the coronavirus pandemic, they normally divide their time between California and New York City.

They recently purchased a unit to expand their already spacious Nolita penthouse.
