John Jones calls for Stipe miosic fights, Brock shoots at Lesnar

John Jones thinks he should be ahead for UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miosic – and he’s telling the world.

In a series of tweets on Monday, Jones (26-1 MMA, 20-1 UFC) explained why he believes a fight with music (20-3 MMA, 14-3 UFC) would make more sense than a musical remake with a next-in. The title challenge of the line is Francis Nagnau.

Jones agreed with recent comments by Music, in which he said that a Ngannou (15-3 MMA, 10-2 UFC) re-match is not thrilling.

Jones pointed to Musik’s first meeting with Ngannou in UFC 220 in January 2018, when Musix defeated Ngannou by a unanimous decision. Jones also said how, as a former long-term light heavyweight champion, it would be a new challenge for Miosic and True “True”.

Additionally, Jones predicts that Miosic’s return timeline will be on its own.

But Miosic was not the only fighter Jones mentioned on Twitter on Monday. Initially, news broke that former UFC heavyweight champion and pro wrestler Brock Lesnar was once again a free agent. Jones took a shot at Lesnar, saying he also hit him.

Lesnar could not compete in the UFC 200 in July 2016, when he defeated Mark Hunt by a unanimous decision. The victory was later reversed after Lesnar tested positive for clomiphene. Shortly afterwards, the UFC announced that Lesnar had retired for the second time in six years.

Since then, Lesnar has returned to the competition in the WWE. He has not shown interest in returning to the MMA since leaving the UFC.
