Kissing Booth 2 star Joey King has talked about her experience filming the Netflix sequel with her ex-boyfriend Jacob Elordi, adding that it was not exactly easy.
Joey and Jacob, who play couple Elle Evans and Noah Flynn in the romantic comedy films, were in a real relationship after they met on the set of the first film, but broke up before filmed the sequel.
Talk to you soon Cosmopolitan, Joey admitted that it was a challenge to film romantic scenes with her ex, but she was so careful to do her role justice that she put it at the back of her mind.
“Nobody thought to themselves ‘That was easy’ because it wasn’t,” she said. “I’m sure people analyze every move and every detail. And you know what? Let them. But at the end of the day, I was just excited to be Elle Evans again.”

Adding that there is “so much I want to say”, Joey stated that she was willing to put her own feelings on the page for the sake of the film.
“What’s the most, um, correct way to do this?” sei se. “Elle Evans needs her Noah Flynn. And whatever that means for my personal life, I will do anything to make sure the story of my character that I care so much about is complete.”
The actress also spoke about how she treats disappointments in her life, saying, “I have to tell myself that if it does not go my way, I can pick myself up. And I will not cry for too long.”
The actress previously called working with Jacob again a “wild experience” and said it was “a really nice time because I learned a lot about myself and I grew as an actor, I grew as a person” while talking about the Mood podcast.
