It was just about developing and learning the skills off the field and learning the emotional intelligence everyone is talking about, and the real reason we played this game so that we can have such a big impact on the world. And really use our platform to make a difference in the life of any child, any adult, anyone who needs to know what should be good in this world and what should be good in this world. And it was really revealing to know that all these quarterbacks are fair, we are all family. And it was really cool to make these connections with all the quarterbacks and it was a really fun experience. “

McCarthy on the impact of being a Michigan quarterback. “And using that platform will be a really special tool for me.”

That said, McCarthy acknowledged that he felt “100%” that he belonged to fellow elite quarterbacks who attended. However, he was quick to notice that pitching at a camp is a different environment than a game day.

“We are all, we all have talent. We can all wear shorts and a T-shirt, ”said McCarthy. “And what is going to separate us is when we put our pads on and play on Friday night, Saturday night and even Sunday. So it was good to feel this whole camp and get back to racing, but we all know that when the pills are put in, it’s the real deal.
