“You will never lose ‘friends’, sorry. You sit with us for life boys.”
Jennifer Aniston responded to the news that the reunion “Friends” for HBO Max was once again delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking to Deadline, the actress, 51, regretted the announcement because the production to bring together the entire cast of the favorite sitcom has already been postponed three times.
“It’s very sad that we had to move it again,” she began. “It was, ‘How do we do this with live audiences?’ This is not a safe time. Period. That is the end of the line. It is not a safe time to do it. “
The unwritten program was scheduled to be filmed on Warner Bros. original sound stage in March when the lockdown began. It was then sent back to May, and then re-posted for August.

There is no set date for taping yet to begin, but Aniston remains optimistic that the special will still be … very special for the fans.
“It will be great. You know what? This has also given us more time to make it even more exciting and fun than it would have been,” she explained. “That I choose to see it because the glass is half full that it has been put out.”

Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry have all been confirmed to appear with Aniston for the reunion.

At the time of the initial delay, WarnerMedia Entertainment and direct-to-consumer chairman Bob Greenblatt told Variety that he hopes the special will still be filmed for an audience in the live studio.
“We think there’s a value to having a large, rough live audience to experience these six great friends coming together again,” he explained. “And we did not want to do it all of a sudden on a web chat with, you know, six squares and people shooting out of their kitchens and bedrooms.”
Meanwhile, Aniston smelled her thoughts on how difficult the year has been so far.
“I intend to renew my driving license and I do not want it to say so in 2020,” she announced. “I just want to get 2020 out and behind us.”
