Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt to Reunite for Live Table Reading of ‘Fast Times at Ridgemont High’: Reports


Exes Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt are set to reunite for a live table reading “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” and fans can’t get enough of the news.

According to reports, Pitt, 56, is the latest celebrity to take part in the upcoming live red of the teen drama of 1982. The popular film followed a group of Southern California high school kids and their antics. It stars Sean Penn, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Judge Reinhold.

The table read will be streamed live on the Facebook and TikTok pages of Penn’s CORE, a disaster relief organization, on Aug. 21 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 pm PST. It will also stream via LiveXLive. Fans will be able to donate to CORE like the REFORM Alliance for COVID-19 relief, according to People.

Other celebrities on board at the table for reading the table include Julia Roberts, x, Shia LaBeouf, Dane Cook and Morgan Freeman.

Fans took to social media to express their joy with the couple who worked together on a project.

“Holy Spicoli! This is going to be epic,” one fan tweeted, referring to Penn’s character in the film, Jeff Spicoli.

“When Taylor Swift said ‘you know the greatest loves of all time are over now,’ they were talking about Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston,” wrote another.

One person joked: “Honestly, if Jen and Brad can do a table 15 years after their divorce, then we deserve a [Justin] timberlake en [Britney] spears collapse. “

“I love Jen and Brad,” said another simply.

Pitt and Aniston, 51, caused a media frenzy back in January when their reunion from the backstage at the 2020 Screen Actors Guild Awards was captured on camera. In multiple snaps, the famous exes were seen smiling at each other. In one photo, Pitt was holding Aniston’s wrist as she left after the two had a brief conversation.

The former couple tied the knot in July 2000 and divorced five years later when Pitt fell in love with his “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” co-star Angelina Jolie. Pitt and Jolie are currently still hiding in divorce drama before the court.

Meanwhile, Pitt and Aniston have proven that they remain friends today. At the 2020 Golden Globes, which were attended by both stars, Pitt referred to Aniston as a “good friend” in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
