Nintendo has announced that its first theme park area will happily open next spring at Osama’s Universal Studios in Japan. Super Nintendo World was initially planned to open in Tokyo before the 2020 Summer Olympics, but due to the Covid-19 epidemic that date was postponed along with the Games.
Separately, Nintendo Universal Studios will also open a themed cafe and store in the Hollywood area of Japan next week. Here’s what they look like here and there:
Some of the items you’ll find on the cafe’s menu include Mario and Luigi-themed pancake sandwiches, a super mushroom drink in a tropical bottle, and mosquito fruit cream soda.

The cafe and store will open from October 16.
In addition to Super Nintendo World Video Games, Nintendo’s most advanced and largest effort is to license its IP. The park will use smart wristbands that will pair with a mobile app and allow visitors to participate in a coin-collecting metagame, while there will also be traditional attractions – yes, Mario Kart Ride. Universal Studios and Nintendo plan to open similar areas in the Rlando, Hollywood and Singapore Parks in the future.
