Japan Association of Athletics Federations Toshihiko Seko Marathon Strengthening Strategy Project Leader (64) has set many good records like Kengo Suzuki (25 = Fujitsu) running, U10 (within 2 hours 10 minutes) 42 people I explained the background to him.
An even brighter subject in the burgeoning world of marathons. We also expected the synergistic effect of intensifying competition.
◇ ◇ ◇
I knew it was powerful, but I never dreamed that it would be in the 4 minute range. History changed. Suzuki is strong because it can increase its pace even after 35 km. Evidence of spare capacity. If there are opponents who can compete to the finish with even higher speed, I think we can still shorten the time by about 1 minute.
The ride is well balanced and fuel economy is good. It doesn’t bounce and my shoulders are weak. Arm swing, walking habits, no waste, good pace. It is an ideal form that does not consume physical force. Some players have messy form in the second half, but in Suzuki’s case, the second half is better. There is also a strong heart that is not influenced by the environment. MGC, who was in seventh place, rode more than necessary and used his power. That reflection may be alive. I also learned to run the race calmly.
The Sub 10 has 42 people, and in 2 hours and 7 minutes it has 15 people. Not just Suzuki, but the reason he had a good time was that the temperature, the wind, the sun and the conditions were perfect. Until now, Lake Biwa used to be hot and rainy every day, and the conditions were bad, but perhaps because this was the last time Shiga was being held, the goddess of Lake Biwa smiled. Thanks.
The pace was stable in a group focused on the Japanese because I was unable to call in guest players from abroad due to the crown accident. There was little fluctuation of pace and I was able to maintain my stamina until the second half. If players of the same strength come together, it will be psychologically easy, and a large group will also be a windbreaker. There are such factors, but this result is wonderful. As a leader, I have never been so happy.
Suzuki is 25 years old. Still young. This result should inspire other players and increase their motivation at the same time. Aiming for another 2 hours and 4 minutes will come naturally. You can level up with a synergistic effect. It was a great race when Japan reached out to the world. (Los Angeles, 1984, Seoul Olympics, 1988)
