Backward Compatibility of Classic Titles on “Rockstar Games”, PlayStation (R) 5 and Xbox Series X | S
PlayStation (R) 5 and Xbox Series X | S will be released this month, but the latest versions, including the Playstation (R) 4 and Xbox One versions of “Grand Theft Auto V” and “Red Dead Redemption 2” “LA Noir” (including “LA Noir: VR Case Files” for PlayStation (R) VR version) and many other classic Rockstar Games titles can be played on the latest game consoles due to backward compatibility.
If you have a backward compatible title on the disc version, you can insert the disc directly into PlayStation (R) 5 or Xbox Series X (PlayStation (R) 5 Digital Edition without disc drive and Xbox Series S game consoles Excluding the main body). If you have a digital version of the game, you can immediately download a compatible Rockstar Games title that works with your PlayStation Network or Xbox Live account. For PlayStation (R) 5, you can download it from the “Your Collection” section of the “Game Library”, and for Xbox Series X | Yes, from “Can install”.
In either case, you can resume the game from where you left off. You can transfer the saved data and the main game using a LAN cable, wireless connection, or USB storage. You can also transfer the latest cloud save data linked to your PlayStation (R) Plus or Xbox Live account.
