Saori Tomitsuka, a 35-year-old office worker in Toyoshima-ku, Tokyo, has been missing since late September, and the Metropolitan Police Department said on the 6th that he had dumped Tomitsuka’s body at a village in Nasu Town, Tochigi Prefecture. On suspicion of abandonment, Yoshito Sato (29), a kindergarten teacher, was detained at Mejiro 5 in the same district. “I dug a hole with a shovel and buried the body,” he admitted. The Police Agency will establish an investigation headquarters at the Mejiro Police Station to investigate the killings.
According to investigators, Sato hinted at the murder in a voluntary investigation prior to his arrest, saying: “I entered my home to steal money, but they resisted me and strangled me with a rope.”
After the incident, it was also discovered that a security camera confirmed that a man suspected of being the suspect was following several women in addition to Mr. Tomitsuka through their home.
On the 5th, the agency found the body in a chalet in the name of a local relative, based on a statement from Sato. The body was identified as Mr. Tomitsuka by fingerprints and dental patterns. There was no noticeable trauma and the cause of death is unknown.
According to the alleged arrest, Mr. Tomitsuka’s body was buried in the ground of Takakuoto’s village in Nasu-cho around 24 September.
According to investigators, the two did not know each other and their home was about 600 meters away. A security camera near Mr. Tomitsuka’s home showed a man suspected of being Sato walking behind Mr. Tomitsuka on the 23rd and going alone to Mr. Tomitsuka’s home on the 24th.
He is believed to have invaded Mr. Tomitsuka’s home around 8-10pm the same day. It is believed that he killed him here and took his body to a village in Nasu-cho.
Mr. Tomitsuka’s wallet was not found, and his cell phone was found on the street in Toyoshima Ward on October 1. After the disappearance, Mr. Tomitsuka’s bank account and credit card were not used.
