Musk reopens factory against authorized authority, only me to arrest Bloomberg

Electric Vehicle (EV) Manufacturer, USA USATesla CEO Elon Musk resumed production at the Fremont, California plant, following orders from Alameda County state authorities to continue closing the plant. Musk acknowledges that he and his employees are at risk of being arrested.

Mr. Musk tweeted on the 11th, “I take a chance on everyone else. If you arrest someone, ask me to do it alone.”

Before Tesla’s tweet, Tesla had told production workers that the Fremont plant would resume operations. Valery Capers Workman, the company’s human resources officer in North America, explained that production workers were notified by email that they had a 10-day temporary leave of absence, and within 24 hours that the manager would communicate the start date and time.

Alameda County health authorities commented that, in response to Musk’s tweet, Tesla hopes to comply with the order without further compliance. The county has continued the dialogue on employee health control procedures and has indicated it will continue to review Tesla’s plans.
