Kyoto Seisho (Kyoto), aiming to win the national high school rugby tournament for the first time, played Chubu Daikasugaoka (Aichi No. 1) 14- in the quarterfinals of the 100th tournament held at the stadium of Hanazono rugby in Higashi Osaka city on January 3. He defeated 3 and decided to enter the best 4 for the first time in 6 seasons.

In the 8th minute of the first half, Kyoto Seisho attacked at a good pace and got into the enemy’s field, expanding his chances with the career of PR Moriyama, and Takuma Motohashi, a big LO who had entered, broke the defense and scored the first try. Chubu Daikasugaoka, who entered the top 8 for the first time, got into the enemy’s field twice before the break, but Kyoto Seisho’s defense was strong.

Chubu Daikasugaoka came around 14 points behind, and in the 3rd minute of the second half, NO8 captain Daisuke Fukuda went deep into the enemy with a powerful run, and the subsequent attack did not win a try with a slow forward, but first, Kyoto Seisho. There was a foul and he scored 3 points with a penalty goal.

Both teams struggled with a breakdown and the match was suffocating.

At the end of the chase, Chubu Daikasugaoka got deep into the opponents, but lost an opportunity to score due to a fault in the lineout.
In the end, the score remained 14-3, and Kyoto Seisho advanced to the semi-finals for the fourth time.
