Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg donated $ 100,000 to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to help children fight the new coronavirus. It was announced on the UNICEF website.

In a UNICEF statement, “Mr. Greta Thunberg won the Human Act 2020 Award on Earth Day on April 22, received approximately $ 100,000 in prizes, and donated the award to UNICEF. The Human Act group has doubled Greta’s donation, and a total of $ 200,000 has been donated to support UNICEF’s current activities in the fight against the coronavirus. ”

Greta earlier announced that he was infected with the new coronavirus.

UNICEF is asking for a donation on its website, and the donation is said to support children in more than 190 countries as the new corona infection spreads around the world.

Last week, UNICEF called on the international community to raise $ 92.4 million to help children in the Middle East and North Africa fight the new coronavirus.
