On Saturday 12 of the season’s ninth Tuscan GP qualifying, Red Bull’s Max Felstappen and Alex Arbon lined up in third and fourth place to secure a second-row start of the race.

In Saturday’s free race, Felstappen crashed into second place and Arbon had the eighth fastest time.

Max felstappen

“I think I did a good job as a team this weekend. The car was in good shape from the beginning so I had to modify it. I’m glad to be closer to Mercedes than ever in qualifying.” The distance to the rear is widening. I have high expectations for the race and it is always difficult to predict if I can compete for the championship, but I am a bit more confident than other weekends. Our maximum speed is. Here it is quite expensive and very good, it is not easy to pass here, but at least the last corners are so wide and long that you can take different lines if you have the pace to follow. And this is a new circuit, especially tomorrow when the road surface temperature will be quite high, so I think I will have to think about what to do with the tires during the race. It’s never easy to overtake Mercedes, but I want to get it all out. I love this circuit so I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s race. ”

Alex arbon

“It was a good, strong qualifying and it’s amazing to run this circuit on a light fuel machine. It’s crazy and impressive, so I hope we can continue to race on these circuits in the future. I’m glad I continued to progress because fourth in qualifying is the best for my career. The spa is good, it’s even better at Monza, and I’m taking it one step further here so far. I have more time to find. Obviously there are, but it’s getting better and better, and I think I would have been quicker without the yellow flag in the last race of Q3. I was a little less confident during the free race, but with some changes it was a machine. I improved and started pushing. With a long straight into Turn 1, I hope to have a clean start tomorrow and from there it will be a simple and boring race without drama.

Christian Horner (Team Representative)

“It was great to have Max in third place and Alex in fourth in qualifying, and both drivers lined up in the second row, and today I was able to get the most out of the car. I couldn’t catch up with Mercedes for a few seconds though. It’s one of the Closer sessions of the year so I hope to have a good race from here. Alex is having a good weekend at the moment, posting the best F1 qualifying results and preparing for the race. It should give you confidence. He’s fast in Sector 3 throughout the weekend, so your first chance will be towards Turn 1, so think about what you can do from there. How warm weather will affect your strategy. Interesting. Of course, we don’t have data historic here, so we have to be prepared to handle it. The drivers are really enjoying this circuit. It’s a fast and old-fashioned tour so tomorrow is the best race. I hope to be
