Mizushima was born in Niigata prefecture. Around 1964, he started working on many weekly magazine jobs, and from 1970 he expanded his work to “Weekly Shonen Sunday” and “Weekly Shonen Champion”, and “Men’s Aho Koshien” became a hit. Since then, he has drawn many baseball cartoons like “Baseball Mad Poem”, “Dokaben” and “Abu-san”.
