Apple began shipping macOS Big Sur before dawn on November 13. This is the first major update in about a year for macOS Catalina, where iTunes is divided into three parts.

You can update by clicking “Update Now” in the Mac App Store or by visiting the macOS Big Sur page and clicking the “Update Now” button.

The main update is that the display design has been completely redesigned. The app has a full-height sidebar and redesigned toolbar, making it easier to find apps that Dock uses frequently. The control center and notification center have also improved accessibility and visibility, and Safari has also gotten faster. In addition, it supports automatic switching of AirPods devices, and the iPad version app has also been adapted by Mac Catalyst, and everywhere improved.

And at the recent “One More Thing” event, we also announced tight integration with Macs with Apple Silicon “M1” chips. Your Mac wakes up instantly, making your daily work easier. And in addition to the “Rosetta 2” implementation that works seamlessly with existing Mac applications, iPhone and iPad applications can now run on Mac.

The macOS Big Sur compatible devices are MacBook Air with M1 chip, MacBook Pro 13-inch, and Mac mini (installed and shipped). And as existing models, iMac after 2014 model, MacBook Air after 2013, iMac Pro after 2017, MacBook Pro after late 2013, Mac Pro after 2013, MacBook after 2015, MacBook after 2014, after 2014 The Mac mini will be updated.

There was a problem that I couldn’t install even though I tried to update it temporarily (from 3am to 6:15 am), but now it is advertised that it has been restored.
