Rockstar Games Announced Backward Compatibility of Classic Titles on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S.
PS4 / Xbox One version “Grand Theft Auto V” and “Red Dead Redemption 2”, the latest version “LA Noir” (including the PlayStation VR version “LA Noir: VR Case Files”) and many other Classic titles from the company can be played on the latest game consoles due to backward compatibility.

If you have a backward compatible title on the disc
You can play by inserting the disc directly into the PS5 or Xbox Series X (excluding the PS5 Digital Edition without a disc drive and the Xbox Series S game console).
If you have a backward compatible title in DL version
You can instantly download compatible company titles that work with your PlayStation Network and Xbox Live accounts. For PS5, you can download it from the “Your collection” section of “Game Library”, and for Xbox Series X | Yes, you can download it from “Installable”.
In either case, the game can be resumed from where it left off, and the saved data and the main game can be transferred via a LAN cable, wireless connection, or USB storage. You can also transfer the latest cloud save data linked to your PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live account.
If you use the same PlayStation Network or Xbox Live account on the new console, your progress and achievements from GTA Online and Red Dead Online will carry over. You can check if the accounts are linked correctly on the dedicated page.
