The full text of the office announcement (sic) is as follows.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation for your continued support.
We are pleased to inform you that V6 will be disbanded on November 1, 2021.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to all the fans who have warmly watched and supported the activities over the past 26 years, and to all the people involved who have supported us with encouragement.
The six people who rallied under Johnny and decided to walk together as a V6 made their CD debut on November 1, 1995. Since then, I’ve been racking up days and spending more than half my life as a V6, and as a result, I was celebrate the 25th anniversary of my debut last year. Although it was in the form of a live broadcast, the members themselves were glad to have shared the same time with fans and expressed their gratitude in their own performance and in their own words. It was a stage where I was able to stand.
This time, we concluded the disbandment, which is the result of being proud of the six members of V6 and making positive decisions about our future lives as human beings.
Starting in the spring of 2019, there are more opportunities for six people to discuss with each other towards the 25th anniversary of their debut. By seriously facing the time they spent with fans, it was an opportunity to openly communicate their feelings about their individual lives, as well as their activities as a group. For all six of them, the V6 milestone, where all the members faced each other in their 40s, meant facing life itself. Later, Morita said, “I want to challenge myself as an actor in a setting far from Johnny’s office in my afterlife.” I derived it. It’s true that Morita’s comments were the trigger, but as the five of them got older, they had more opportunities to think about their future lives. That is why everyone agreed to accept and respect Morita’s feelings. In the end, the members themselves were able to convince themselves of the entertainment they had sought, and when they thought of further growth, they began to want to take the next step. I was able to make the decision because the idea that “if you are not a person, you are not a V6” was constant among the six people. I feel that it is a feeling of achievement and satisfaction that I was able to obtain because the members themselves understand that it is a gratitude to be blessed with such encounters and experiences in life.
After November 1, 2021, Go Morita left Johnny’s office and will take a new path.
Masayuki Sakamoto, Hiroshi Nagano, Yoshihiko Inohara, Ken Miyake and Junichi Okada will remain in Johnny’s office and will continue to work individually.
Based on the above, the V6 20th Century group unit will continue to exist, and Coming Century will terminate its activities with the dissolution of V6.
The path we will take is different, but we will do everything possible to grow as a man in each place.
Once again, we would like to express our sincere thanks to all fans and related parties for supporting V6 so far.
We will continue to express our appreciation to all of you until November 1, 2021, and we look forward to your continued support of V6.
We hope you continue to support the six people who have decided to embark on a new path.
