On March 5, the Ministry of Lands, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism announced that it would select a total of 14 towns, some 86 km, as new candidate locations to start in 2021 with respect to the provisional two-lane section of the highway to have four lanes .

Regarding the provisional two-lane section of the highway, in September 2019 a section with a major problem (about 880 km) was selected as a priority maintenance section, and in FY2020 a total of 15 towns and about 110 km were sold .

Regarding new candidate locations, disaster prevention / mitigation, promotion of national resilience, etc., based on the “Comprehensive Economic Measures for Peace of Mind and Hope to Protect the Lives and Livelihoods of people “decided by the Cabinet in December 2020, etc. Since it has been shown that the development of highways, etc. guarantees safety and security, it was decided to use FILP and implement a four-lane system. In the future, it is said that the necessary paperwork towards the business license will take place after the budget is set.

The remaining priority maintenance sections will also be gradually improved based on the state of obtaining financial resources.
