My brother and sister will collide at the top of the list again after the Beijing Olympics next year. Former champion Chiaki Matsumura (Chubu Electric Power) and Yasumasa Tanida (Consadole) will face the combination of Yurika Yoshida (Loco Solare) and Yuta Matsumura (Consadole) in the final.

After finishing the semi-finals this morning, her sister Chiaki said, “I can fight my brother (Yuta) again in the final. I want to do my best in the last race while having fun.”

If the couple of younger sister Chiaki and Yata win consecutively, they will have the right to represent the Beijing Olympics. If the brother pair Yuta and Yurika Yoshida avoid consecutive championships and win the Japanese national team in the world championship, a new national team match will be held.

Both teams compete in the first league, and the pair of Chi Matsumura and Tanida won 11-4.

In the semi-finals, Chiaki Matsumura and Tanida’s couple played Tori Koana (Fuji-Q Highland) and Go Aoki (Sapporo International University), who had won every game so far, and won the fierce battle that ensued in the ninth ends with 7-6.

The pair of Yurika Yoshida and Yuu Matsumura advanced to the final by defeating Team Yanagisawa 7-6 in a comeback victory in the final. In the playoffs, he slipped to the bottom of the top eight, and in the quarterfinals he defeated previous runners-up Satsuki Fujisawa and Tsuyoshi Yamaguchi.

The final playoff and third place will take place starting at 1:00 pm that day.
