There was an overseas earthquake around 9:49 a.m. on Tuesday, February 16, Japan time. The epicenter is in the South Pacific (Vanuatu Islands) and the magnitude of the earthquake is estimated at 6.7.

There is no need to worry about tsunami damage from this earthquake.
According to the National Earthquake Information Center’s National Earthquake Information Center (USGS, NEIC), it appears that there was a maximum tremor of revised Mercalli Intensity Class IV near the epicenter.
Although a strict comparison is not possible, it appears that the shaking equates to a seismic intensity of about 3 when converted to the Japan Meteorological Agency seismic intensity class.
