On the 10th, 12 people died and 176 people were infected with the new coronavirus in Kanagawa prefecture. 75 people have unknown routes of infection. Health officials from the prefecture and six cities have announced.
The prefecture has announced the death of five men and women between 70 and 80 years old and the infection of 33 people. All five who died had the disease at home and were hospitalized for treatment. The city of Sagamihara announced the infection of 27 people. Nine of them are staff and patients of the Sagamiono Hospital (Minami Ward). The number of infected people in the hospital was 10 and it was certified as a group.
The city of Yokosuka has announced the infection of 13 people. A doctor in his 50s works at the Uwamachi Municipal Hospital, but has nothing to do with the group. A nurse in her twenties works at Yokosuka Kyosai Hospital.
The city of Fujisawa has announced the infection of five people. Of these, the 80-year-old women were residents of nursing homes in the city where the cluster occurred, and a total of 12 people were infected.
