Ibaraki prefecture announced on the 27th that a woman in her 80s who was being treated at a center for the elderly died after being infected with the new coronavirus. A total of 56 people died in the prefecture. The prefecture and the city of Mito have announced that 84 new people have been infected. It is the first time in four days that the number of new infected people per day exceeds 50. The total number of infected people in the prefecture is 4,543.

In a Tsukuba city hospital, where a cluster (a group of infected people) occurred, a new patient and two medical workers were found to be infected. There are a total of 23 people infected. The prefecture has not released the name of the hospital, but the city’s Ichihara Hospital has announced the same number of infections.
In Miho, a special nursing home for the elderly in Miho Village, where the largest conglomerate in the prefecture occurred, an employee in her 50s was found to be infected. A total of 95 people were infected.
At a nursing home in the city of Hitachi, an employee in her 60s was found to be infected, bringing the total number of infected people to eight. An employee in his 60s was infected in Ibaraki-cho’s office. A total of eight people were infected.
At the Furukawa Station of the Ground Self-Defense Force (Furukawa City), a male member in his 40s was found to be infected, and the total number of infected people was four.
