Fans can go to Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout in California, but for Disney World natives, there’s a new attraction with these heroes coming to the EPCOT theme park. There’s a new ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ trip coming to EPCOT at Walt Disney World
Sure, you can take a trip around the world with Soarin or test drive a car on Test Track. For the first time, a Marvel themed roller coaster will arrive at EPCOT at Walt Disney World. Entitled Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, this attraction features everyone’s favorite heroes as they save the universe with the help of those who travel.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind won’t open until 2021. Until then, fans just have to take a look at the creators’ journey behind it. That includes James Gunn, one of the creators of the original. Guardians of the Galaxy movie.
James Gunn commented on the upcoming attraction, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind’
One of the people behind Guardians of the Galaxy actually participated in the creation of games based on these characters. In James Gunn’s Instagram story, according to Inside the magic, a fan asked Gunn: “What will Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind be like at Disney World?” Gunn replied with, “Totally mind boggling. I am serious. You guys are going to freak out. It’s amazing.”
Another fan asked Gunn about the trip currently in Disneyland, California. They wrote: “Did you work at Mission Breakout? If so, how much were you involved? Do you like the ride?
“Yes. I consulted and directed the actors. Currently working on the inaugural trip in Orlando,” Gunn replied. Presumably more information on this trip will be announced in the coming months.
Reportedly, another ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ movie is in the works
Fans haven’t seen the latest from Peter Quill and the rest of the Guardians. With Gamora wandering alone, the rest of the gang will presumably go on an adventure to bring her back home.
In fact, Marvel confirmed that a third movie will be released in the coming years. It is still a few months before fans can see this next movie and, due to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), the release date has probably been delayed a bit.
Fans also expect sequels from movies like Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and Spiderman. Meanwhile, however, fans can see the original. Guardians of the Galaxy on Disney’s streaming platform, Disney +.
