Culture won tonight after Fabolous and Jadakiss had a memorable Verzuz battle on Instagram. The live music streaming event continues, this week turning things towards rap. Verzuz Launched as a way for artists and fans to not only spend quarantine, but also to celebrate icons and legends in the music industry. We’ve seen a number of notable “battles” in the past few months, from rap to hip hop, R&B, neo-soul, and New Jack Swing, and on Monday (June 29), we saw Fabolous and Jadakiss turn around.

As always, hundreds of thousands of fans tuned in to watch the live battle between two New York rap legends, and while the music had people buzzing, Jadakiss was in high spirits. Outfitted in a bright yellow outfit, Jadakiss spent the best time of his life spending time with his old friend Fab and taking a walk down the memory path with all his successes. He left some facts behind, including that he wrote Diddy’s verse on “Victory,” a 1998 song featuring Biggie and Busta Rhymes. As the Bad Boy magnate later said, “Don’t worry if I write rhymes, I write checks.”

Take a look at some of the battles below and tell us what you think about this last one. Verzuz
