Over the weekend, the Ausl Public Health Department found 6 cases of coronavirus in schools in Parma and the province. Results for many swabs are now available, others are scheduled for tomorrow. The quarantine of students and teachers is not always prepared while waiting for the results of the swabs: Ausl professionals evaluate them on a case-by-case basis, after having carried out the epidemiological investigation.

The actions already taken and those that are in progress are detailed below.

Anne Frank Primary School in Parma (Istituto Comprensivo Ferrari): today the swabs are scheduled for students and teachers of two classes, after the positivity found in two students. Only for the schoolchildren and teachers of one class was the preventive quarantine arranged. Tampon stocks are expected tomorrow.

Rodari Elementary School from Parma: for tomorrow (Tuesday, October 6) swabs of about 100 people (including students and teachers from 4 classes) are scheduled, after confirmation of the positivity of the coronavirus by an external expert. Pending the results, the quarantine has not been ordered.

Bedonia Nursery: With the confirmation of positivity of the swab made to a teacher, who arrived late on Friday afternoon, the class of children was placed in preventive quarantine. On Sunday the small pupils were swabs, all negative. However, the class remains in quarantine.

Ferrari Comprehensive Institute of Parma High School: Students and teachers in a class were swabbed Sunday morning after a case of positivity was found in a student. The class was not quarantined. The swab results are all negative, so teaching activity continues regularly.

Paciolo-D’Annunzio de Fidenza Technical Institute: Students and teachers were tested on Sunday morning after a positive case was found from a classmate. The class was not quarantined. The swab results are all negative, so teaching activity continues regularly.
