Heavy rains that affected several areas of northern Italy starting Friday night caused damage and left one person missing: a 38-year-old man who was washed away by a stream near Lake Delio, in the province of Varese. Lombardy was hit hard by bad weather: the strong wind tore the roof of a nursing home in Quarto Oggiaro, outside Milan, forcing guests to move. In the province of Cremona there was an intense hailstorm.
Also in Veneto, wind and rain caused flooding and uprooted trees in the Verona area, in the capital and in particular in Montecchia Crosara, where the sports hall was damaged. There were also floods and landslides in Piedmont, particularly in the province of Alessandria, while in Genoa a 17-year-old boy was injured by a sheet metal blown up by the wind.
