The day of Xiaomi Mi 11 has arrived: the Chinese company has revealed to the public design, technical characteristics and price of its high-end 2021. A device that has two enormous responsibilities on its shoulders: the first is to show the world what Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, with which it is equipped, the second is to allow Xiaomi to occupy the blank space left by Huawei in the market segment of “Chinese cousin“.


And this Mi 11 really is premium, although for the price it does not seem so. Xiaomi, in fact, has managed to make a half miracle: the better than technology available today for a smartphone at a relatively small price, until 2020 reserved for good quality mid-range. All, of course, in a smartphone compatible with 5G networks thanks to the X60 modem built into Qualcomm’s Snapdragon mobile platform. Everything on this device is “upper part“: From the processor to the screen, through the cameras, the battery, the connections and even the audio.

The heart of Xiaomi Mi 11 is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, equipped with Adreno 660 GPU and flanked by 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM at 3.2 GHz. The storage memory is 128/256 GB, with UFS 3.1 technology.

The 6.81 inch curved screen (to be precise “Quadruple curve“) It is an AMOLED produced by Samsung with resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels (2K), update of 120 Hz, maximum brightness of 1,500 nits and HDR10 + certification and is protected by a Gorilla Glass Victus.

The frontal camera, housed in a small notch at the top left, has a 20 MP f / 2.4 sensor, while at the rear we find a 108 megapixel main sensor, f / 1.85, with optical stabilizer and capable of recording video in 8K, a 13 megapixel wide angle, f / 2.4 and a 5 megapixel telemacro sensor, f / 2.4.

The battery is 4,600 mAh, wired charging up to 55 watts and wireless up to 50 Watts, also compatible with reverse charging of up to 10 Watts of power. The audio is signed and certified by Harman-Kardon.

All in a large 164x74x8 mm body and for a total weight of 196 grams. Finally, Xiaomi has also thought of a covered version in Vegan leather.

Xiaomi Mi 11: how much it costs and when does it arrive

The launch date in China of Xiaomi Mi 11 is set for theJanuary 1st, to underline the fact that this is the first real top of the 2021 range. It will be sold in three versions: 8/128 GB, 8/256 GB and 12/256 GB.

The pre-installed operating system is Android 11, with Miui 12.5 with specific optimization for this smartphone. Very low, given the competition that the Mi 11 will face, launch prices in China: 500 euros for version 8/128, 540 euros for version 8/256, 590 euros for version 12/256.
