After these hot days full of leaks and official announcements from Microsoft, we can now draw conclusions about the characteristics of the next generation consoles, at least as regards the Xbox Series S and Series X. The processor should be an 8-core AMD Zen 2 Custom with a 3.6 GHz clock frequency practically the same as the PS5 console, but it runs at 3.5 GHz. At this point you would think that Microsoft’s least powerful console would surpass Playstation in speed.
But surely these statements leave the time they find and speaking clearly and making a broader speech, the frequency of the processor does not indicate either the power or the speed of a machine, especially because we are talking about a measly 0.1 GHz more.
