The new decree-law of October 7 comes into effect as of today and dictates measures that will be valid until New Decree of the Prime Minister scheduled for October 15, a period initially established also for the state of emergency now extended until January 31, 2020.
The new decree expands the obligation to wear a mask outdoors, but also in the workplace. To date, the mask at school is mandatory in cases where the distance of one meter between people cannot be guaranteed, but it can be removed on the desk. In this point Azzolina responds: Does the mask become mandatory in school, always, even in the classroom?
Mandatory mask at school: nothing new
The mask is still compulsory at school in situations in which the planned distancing cannot be guaranteed and at the moment there seems to be no news with the decree just issued.
This was confirmed by the owner of Miur herself. Interviewed by Mentana, Azzolina clarified that things do not change for the school where the mask is still mandatory for the cases indicated by the guidelines and according to the safety protocol rules for the resumption of the 2020/2021 school year.
Azzolina interviewed said:
“At school the rules don’t change, we have protocols and guidelines that we wrote this summer. Today we have regulated what was not previously regulated. ”
The minister clarified once more:
“In school, if a student is sitting, then in a static situation at a distance of one meter he can lower the mask, if he wants to keep it, he can keep it. In all dynamic situations, imagine a student who gets up to go to the bathroom or goes around the class, you have to stay “.
Azzolina added that the school respects the rules that exist and that, therefore, it continues to be the safest place. The minister affirmed that now, with the new rules of the decree and the mandatory mask also abroad, the world outside the school will be safer.
We do not know if with the new DPCM on October 15 something will change again for students and then the mask will always be mandatory at school, even at the desk.
