From December 24 to January 6, Italy will be orange zone on weekdays, but will change to Red zone on holidays and days before holidays. This is the orientation of the government, ready to launch a new dpcm to stop movements between Christmas, New Year ed Epiphany. In essence, the country will become a single orange zone and will follow the rules and restrictions already described in previous decrees. Here’s what you can (and can’t) do in the orange zone.
Movements between Regions and Municipalities in the orange zone
Movements between regions, in and out, remain blocked (except for proven health, work, necessity and urgency reasons), as well as those between municipalities, with possible derogation for municipalities with less than 5,000 inhabitants within a 30-kilometer radius . However, even in this case, it will not be possible to travel to the provincial capitals, even if they are within a 30-kilometer radius. Therefore, during the entire vacation period, it will be prohibited to leave the borders of the municipality without proven reasons of health, work, necessity or urgency. The inter-region travel ban, on the other hand, begins on December 21. Exceptions are provided for those who have to regroup with their spouse in the house of habitual residence (even if it is not the designated residence) or, for separated parents, who can join the minor child entrusted to the former spouse (obviously taking into account the commitments assumed respectively to be separated). The curfew remains in effect from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Bars and restaurants, take away only and home delivery
In the orange zone, restaurants and other catering businesses, including bars, patisseries and ice cream parlors, are open exclusively for the sale of take-out food (from 5 am to 10 pm) and for home delivery (without a time limit). The gambling halls and the betting rooms remain closed, but also the bingo and the casinos present in the premises used for different activities. Gyms and swimming pools are closed, even ski resorts are closed. The wellness and spa centers are closed. Museums, cinemas and theaters, social and recreational centers, closure of theme parks and attractions, except for recreational, recreational and educational activities, suspension of events, congresses, live shows, and discos remain closed. In any case, laundries, hardware stores, opticians, florists, bookstores, stationery stores, computers, children’s clothing, toy stores, perfumeries, funeral homes, vending machines will remain open.
