The number of people infected by the new coronavirus in Italy continues to increase. And the curve that indicates the occupation rates of places in hospitals – intensive care, but not only – continues to grow.

For this reason, despite some signs of a slowdown in the contagion rate, the government is looking at new ways that will lead to a reduction in data.

The government’s plan is to reach a light blocking, without disassembling the system from the last Dpcm.

When will it be applied?
By Sunday, November 15, according to the data, the government expects three-quarters of the regions to be in the orange or red band. Today Lombardy, Valle d’Aosta, Piedmont, Calabria and Alto Adige are in the red zone; in the orange zone Sicily, Basilicata, Puglia, Abruzzo, Umbria, Tuscany, Liguria. In total, 12 areas out of 21 between autonomous regions and provinces: exactly what Speranza expected, convinced as she is that to defeat the virus, meetings must be limited to the maximum.

Yesterday, the ISS pushed for also Campania, Emilia Romagna, Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia to adopt restrictive measures. If that were the case, the threshold set by the government would be reached.

How will the light blocking be decided?
With the ordinances of the Minister of Health – regarding the entry of other regions into the red and orange zones – but also of the governors and mayors.

The first Minister Giuseppe Conte – who met today with the majority of the heads of delegation and the Minister of Regional Affairs Francesco Bocciadoes not want to launch a new Dpcm.

How would it work?
The light lockdown would allow companies, factories and professions to move forward (here is the list of business activities that can continue to operate even in the red zone).

It would close for bars and restaurants in almost the entire national territory (as was already planned for the red and orange zones), limiting commercial establishments as much as possible.

Not only that: according to the regulations of the red and orange zones, travel outside the municipality and region itself would be prohibited, except for health, urgency or work requirements: in fact, travel between regions would be blocked.

And the government is also considering the closure of some types of stores that can now remain open in the red zones, and the stop of stores on weekends (with the exception of groceries, pharmacies, parapharmacies, newsstands and tobacconists).

Where would you click?
In fact, in much of Italy. Why? Because on the one hand the government will proceed with the displacement of the Regions that will exceed the risk parameters in the orange and red zones; On the other hand, the government is also asking the governors of the regions that will remain yellow to enact ordinances with more restrictive measures: from the total blockade in municipalities where outbreaks have been created, to the closure of some streets and squares. Technically, the mayors and presidents of the region can already act on the basis of the Dpcm.

And the school?
Some ministers and governors would like to suspend face-to-face lessons for all classes, including elementary and sixth grade. Minister Lucía Azzolina is categorically opposed.
