Although in theory a refund could be requested from July for purchases made from the beginning of May, in practice it is not yet possible to do so. According to some informal information sent by the Ministry of the Environment to the newspapers, the situation could be unblocked in early September: but the news has not yet been officially confirmed, and the specific section of the ministry’s website will be released on June 11.

At first it seemed that you had to request the refund through an app (it is the version that still appears on the ministry’s website today). It is not yet clear how the incentive will work for those who request it in the days after the launch of the special section of the ministry’s website. At the moment the ministry explains that in the so-called “phase two” there will be “direct discount from the provider of the requested good / service, based on a digital purchase voucher that the beneficiaries can generate in the web application.” But InSella writes that the process appears “uncertain”, since according to the most recent information the refund will no longer be requested through an application.

Previously, the ministry had clarified that the contribution can be requested by all adults residing in regional capitals, in provincial capitals, in municipalities with more than 50 thousand inhabitants and in municipalities of metropolitan cities, even if they are under 50 thousand inhabitants. You can buy bicycles (with or without pedaling assistance), handbike and “predominantly electric personal mobility vehicles” both new and used, while the bonus cannot be used for accessories (eg helmets, batteries, chains, locks). The contribution can be requested until December 31, 2020.
