From Sunday November 15 Campania is the red zone. As a result, all the rules still change for citizens, who already in recent months have had to break free from the almost 90 ordinances issued by the Campania region so far to counter the emergency. Precisely those regional ordinances still in force expire at this time: some will not be renewed because “exacerbated” by the passage in the red zone. On the contrary, for others it is not ruled out that enlargement will come, since it is (as in the case of distance learning) measures that in Campania have been even more restrictive than the red zone itself.
Stop moving even in your own municipality
The first novelty concerns travel. If until now interprovincial travel was banned in Campania, now the ban (which expired in the next few hours) will be much more restrictive: You will not be able to move even in your own municipality, except for valid and proven reasons (work, health, need) and only through self-certification that accredits them. So we go back nine months, or from the national shutdown that lasted two months that took place in early March. The curfew remains in effect from 10 pm to 5 am on the day.
Almost all the stores closed
Blocked for all stores, and mainly for bars, restaurants, pastry shops and ice cream parlors. Take away food is allowed from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Even closed shops can make home deliveries (at any time), as long as the premises are not reopened. They are excluded from the prohibitions and, therefore, only barbers, hairdressers, laundries, tobacconists, newsagents will operate regularly. Catering services remain open only in hospitals, airports, and service areas along highways. Museums, exhibitions and archaeological parks are also closed.
Yes for a walk but only close to home
You will still be able to walk, exercise, and ride a bike., as long as it is close to your home, respecting the distance of one meter and wearing a mask. The bicycle can also be used as a means of getting to the workplace or making other necessary movements, provided that they are always accredited by self-certification.
Unknown about school: will they reopen from Monday?
The real unknown concerns the school, or rather face-to-face teaching. For the red zone it is planned by kindergarten, primary and secondary school, while for all the others there is only distance education. Campania, on the other hand, has suspended face-to-face teaching for all schools at all levels, but the ordinance is about to expire in the next few hours. If De Luca does not issue a new ordinance that once again suspends face-to-face teaching for them as well. This measure is likely to become clearer in the next few hours. At the moment, with the expiration of the regional ordinance and the inauguration of the government one, schools from infancy to sixth grade will reopen for face-to-face teaching as of Monday, November 16.
