SNOW ON THE COAST – New snow showers in the last hours have mainly affected the lower-middle slope of the Adriatic, in particular the central area of Marche, between Anconetano and Fabrianese, but also Abruzzo up to the plain.They whitewashed Vasto Beach (in the video below), as happened on Saturday on the coasts of Pescara (Montesilvano). Snow also in whitewashed Murge and Lucania, Altamura and Matera, while flakes are reported up to Lecce and Brindisi. Storms in the southern Apennines, between Abruzzo, Molise and Campania with snow in the valley.
INTENSE FREEZE: UP TO -6 ° C IN VALPADANA, -20 ° C IN THE ALPS – Meanwhile in the North the sky has cleared up but with intense cold in Valpadana, so much so that the lows registered values between -3 and -6 ° C. In the Alps, temperatures have literally dropped: -14 ° C in Cortina d’Ampezzo and Tarvisio, -17 ° C in Asiago, Brunico and Madesimo, -19 ° C in Misurina, -23 ° C in Dobbiaco and well -28 ° C in Livigno! STRONG WINDS – The winds of Grecale continue to blow over the whole country accentuating the sensation of cold, from moderate to tense in the Centrosud with gusts that locally exceed 60km / h but with 80 km / h peaks in the Apennine passes. Tramontana in dimming in Liguria, as well as Bora in the upper Adriatic.
NEXT FORECAST HOURS – During Sunday there will still be occasions for some snow showers on the plains between Abruzzo, the lower Adriatic, the southern Apennines and inland Campania. Precipitation is also expected in the northeast of Sicily with snowflakes of 800 m but with decreasing limits;late-night precipitation also in the upper part of Ionian Calabria, with snow at low altitudes and near the coast of Crotone and the upper Cosentino Monday.
