Already from the early hours of the morning, hurricane-force winds are expected to hit mainly Sardinia, Liguria, Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna, Marche, extending to Lombardy, Lazio, Umbria, Abruzzo, Molise, Campania, Basilicata, Puglia. Later, the phenomenon will also spread to Calabria and Sicily. Naples, Livorno, Orbetello and Ceprano have all established school closures. In Tuscany, public parks and cemeteries were also closed due to a strong whirlwind that hit the Argentario area.

The situation will not improve over the weekend. when the rains will be increasingly abundant in the north and center of Italy, not skimping even in the south where abundant rains are expected. The situation could improve for a few hours in some regions on Saturday morning, but further rains are expected from Sunday. The cold winds will contribute to a drop in temperatures that will bring the first snowfalls in the Alps below 1000 meters in altitude, with some possible rain on the highest peaks of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines.
