“We thought there was already full time”

A 7-year-old boy left school and found no one waiting for him. And the parents, located only after a few attempts, were reported to the judicial authorities for negligence of a minor. It happened in the last days at the elementary school in via Vittorio Veneto in Cambiago.

At 12:30 p.m., when the moms and dads went to pick up their children, the baby was left alone. At that time the teachers tried to contact the parents but one of the two numbers that remained in the secretariat did not exist and the other received no response. The teachers waited a while but since no one contacted the school, they called the local police.

An agent arrived at the scene and waited with the child for the arrival of a parent along with a teacher who stopped even after working hours. Meanwhile, social services have been contacted. The baby’s mother arrived after about an hour and apologized saying that she was convinced that full time at school had already been activated, leaving at 4:30 pm.

However, there were – reports the local – numerous communications from the director in which it was said that due to lack of staff the departure would be at 12:30. Regarding the child’s parents, however, a report was sent to the power of negligence of a minor.
